Acireale has been referred to as the “city of a hundred bell-towers”. It is also known as the city of the “flowered baroque”, the queen of the Sicilian Carnival or the thermal city. Nearby, the city of Catania stands between Etna and the ionic coast, characterized by the typical black lava stone used to make the buildings and streets. The magnificent scenery of Via Crociferi; one of the most charming areas of Sicilian Baroque, the Massimo Bellini Theatre and the Roman amphitheatre are some of the city’s major attractions. Travelling along the Riviera, you can find Taormina, an important destination both for congress events and for leisure visits.
